Oclemena ×blakei

Blake's Bog Aster

Oclemena ×blakei (Porter) G.L. Nesom is the F1 hybrid  between O. acuminata and O. nemoralis. Brouillet (2006 FNA) summarizes the literature on this well studied hybrid. It's leaves are morphologically intermediate between the broad oblanceolate leaves of O. acuminata and the narrow elliptic-oblong leaves of O. nemoralis. Like these hybrids are diploid (2n=18).
