Aviation at the University of Waterloo is relatively new, yet we have quickly grown to become the largest university-level aviation program in Canada. In 2017, we celebrated our 10th year. Our Aviation program continues to grow in the innovative spirit of UWaterloo.

    Sunwing Airlines First Officer Jessalyn Teed, a Geography and Aviation graduate, has been named one of WINGS Top 20 under 40 for 2019. This award recognizes inspiring young leaders who are influencing the Canadian aviation and aerospace industry.

    Science and Aviation student Tyler Walker has been named the 2019 Webster Trophy finalist for Western Ontario. Since 1932, this annual competition identifies Canada’s top amateur pilot of the year.

    Recently, Aviation at the University of Waterloo gathered to celebrate students who have completed licenses, or recieved their 'wings.' The event, held every year, is an opportunity to honour a handful of exceptional students, and handout awards and scholarships. The event was held with Waterloo Aviation partners the Waterloo Wellington Flight Centre.
