WCMS 3.0.2 is out now!
It is with great excitement we announce the launch of the new WCMS 3 platform. Non-custom WCMS 3 websites are now available for request.
The Workbench and Dashboard functionaries are going to be combined in WCMS 3 simply as the Dashboard. This will allow for greater flexibility in what information can be displayed and make it easier to find content.
I’m pleased to announce the start of testing for the University’s next generation web platform. This testing is critical to identifying bugs and informing refinements that cannot be identified through our automatic testing processes.
Pantheon was chosen to be the Drupal hosting partner and will also host the alpha test sites. There has also been updates to both Drupal and our own project timeline. We are also happy to announce our new acceptance testing program for early WCMS 3 testing.
WCMS 3 will use a "one theme" approach as opposed to the four themes present in WCMS 2. To accommodate this, WCMS 3 will use a "Layout Builder" which will allow for content to be created on the fly and have more flexibility in the layout of the page.
