Shaping the future together

The University of Waterloo is more than just a collection of buildings—it is a vibrant community made up of students, employees and partners, each bringing unique experiences and perspectives. As we plan the future of our campus, we need your voice to help shape the spaces where we live, learn, and innovate.

We are fortunate to have an incredible wealth of expertise across UWaterloo campuses. From researchers with deep insights into sustainability and accessibility to students who experience our facilities every day, everyone's input is invaluable. Join us in building a resilient, inclusive, and forward-thinking University of Waterloo.

By participating in the engagement process, you help ensure that our campus evolves in a way that meets the needs of everyone who calls it home. Together, we can build a resilient, inclusive, and forward-thinking University of Waterloo that reflects our shared vision for the future.

The Campus Plan is Waterloo’s roadmap for how physical spaces on campus will evolve to support learning, research, community, and sustainability. Phase 2 of the Campus Plan survey is now live and open to all students, staff, and faculty. Your input is essential to help shape future campus spaces — including walkways, green areas, classrooms, social zones, and accessibility improvements. The survey is based on months of feedback and includes early design strategies developed with the campus community.

As part of the new Campus Plan, we are seeking feedback from students about their needs and preferences for future housing options at Waterloo. Your input will be an important contribution to the supply and design of future housing opportunities.
