Final pH of medium is adjusted to 1.0 using approximately 4.1 mL of H2SO4 (concentrated). If preparing solid media, make the medium with 1.5% agar but without H2SO4. Let the agar set and then cover the surface with a thin coating of 20% H2SO4(conc.). Inoculate the medium after a few days. This medium is used for Dunaliella acidophila (= Spermatozopsis acidophila).
