A valuable companion course to the Facilitation Skills workshop.

Involving people in decision-making that affects them leads to wiser decisions that people will stand behind. Learn how to engage the wisdom and enthusiasm of those who have a stake in the decisions you are making.

This full-day workshop will introduce you to the concepts of community engagement planning and provide an opportunity to apply the concepts to a scenario of your choosing.

  • You will learn the foundations of community engagement planning, including who, what, when, where, why and how to do it. Align your plans with what you really need and with the skills and resources available.
  • You will be equipped with tools, templates and other resources to make community engagement planning both comprehensive and efficient.
  • You will receive coaching and advice to apply what you’ve learned to your own community engagement scenario.

…all grounded in real-life examples drawn from the instructor’s 20+ years of experience as a community-based facilitator in Canada and internationally, as well as the rich stories of the others joining you in the course.
