Award description:
Two awards, valued at $5,000 each, will be awarded annually to full-time graduate students who are or will be registered full time in a Master's or Doctoral program in the Faculty of Environment and who have an interest in the area of ecology. Selection will be based on academic excellence (minimum 80% cumulative average). Preference will be given to students who demonstrate leadership and community engagement. Selection will be based on the student's application for admission to the graduate program. This fund is made possible by a donation from the Ages Foundation.

Two awards, valued at $5,000 each, annually. The period of this defined term award will be from 2025 to 2029. The first selection will be made in Fall, 2025 and the last in Fall, 2029.

Eligibility & selection criteria:

  • Full-time graduate students who are or will be registered in any master's (research- or course-based) or doctoral program in the Faculty of Environment.
  • Selection to be based on a combination of academic excellence (minimum cumulative average of 80% or equivalent of current or last completed program) and interest in the area of ecology.
  • Preference will be given to students who demonstrate leadership and community engagement, to be assessed through the student's application for admission to the graduate program.
  • Recipients will be selected by the Associate Dean, Graduate Studies, Faculty of Environment office with award payment made normally each fall term.
