About the graduate student e-newsletter
The graduate student e-news is sent weekly on Thursdays during classes with news, updates, and events for the following week. Please note that the graduate e-news is not sent during the last month of the term, as such, all submissions for the final month of term should be submitted for the end-of-term edition of the graduate e-news.
Submission guidelines
- Content should be no longer than 250 characters (aim for 1-2 sentences).
- Information should pertain to all graduate students or a substantial subsection (e.g., all doctoral students, all coursework students, etc.)
- Repeat submissions are not normally accepted as the graduate student e-news follows as "just enough, just in time" format.
- View past editions of the graduate student e-news for sample submissions.
Submission deadline
The submission deadline for content to be included in the upcoming e-news is the Tuesday at noon prior to each e-news release date.
Late submissions
If you have an e-news submission request but have missed the submission deadline, please email us at gradcomms@uwaterloo.ca after submitting the webform.
Please note that submissions may be edited for brevity.
