New site for Community of Practice PD series

A message from Information Systems and Technology.

A new website has been launched to support the Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) Community of Practice (CoP) professional development series. Community members can visit the site to learn more about project and portfolio management; explore (and share their own) project and portfolio resources, tools, and templates; and discover how they can engage with other community members.

The PPM CoP team is also gearing up for the fall term as professional development sessions resume, after a brief summer break, on September 26 with a presentation and networking session on Agile project management at Waterloo

For more information on the PPM CoP and how you can get involved, please contact Pam Fluttert (fluttert@uwaterloo.ca) or Connie van Oostveen (connie.vanoostveen@uwaterloo.ca).

The Sustainability Office is excited to announce the fall term dates for their Sustainability Certificate to all University employees. This series of in-class courses in intended to help Waterloo embed sustainability into campus culture, one of the major goals of the University’s Environmental Sustainability Strategy.

This series includes seven modules that cover key local and global sustainability issues, what Waterloo is doing, and tools and resources for employees to integrate sustainability into their own departments, homes, and beyond. The certificate was first piloted during the winter term and offered to the general public over the spring term, with nearly 100 employees having started or completed the certificate to date.

For more information and to register for the fall term, please visit the Sustainability Certificate website.
