The APS Rising Star designation is presented to outstanding psychological scientists in the earliest stages of their research career post-PhD. It recognizes researchers whose innovative work has already advanced the field and signals great potential for their continued contributions.

This 7-year, $2.5 million SSHRC Partnership Grant will develop and test interventions designed to reduce obstacles facing women and girls who pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). Dr. Bergsieker co-directs the industry-focused project RISE.

Frank Mu receives SSHRC Doctoral Award

Congratulations Frank on receiving the SSHRC Doctoral Award! 

The SSHRC Doctoral Award aims to support students who achieve a high level of academic excellence in the social sciences and humanities in order to aid them in further developing their research skills.  

The OGS award is given based on academic excellence, research ability/achievement, and leadershp abilities. By showing all of these valued skills Amrit earned the OGS award to support her PhD research. Congratulations Amrit and good luck in your future studies! 

Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate both leadership skills and a high standard of scholarly achievement in graduate studies in the social sciences and/or humanities, natural sciences and/or engineering and health. Harrison Oakes is a 2016 recipient of the Varnier CGS by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC)

Rachel Moline is one of six students awarded the 2015 Undergraduate Thesis Award for their outstanding projects. Rachel's thesis research investigates the effectiveness of current surgical interventions for pediatric gait-improvement.
