Crystal shapes

Crystallography is the study of the formation, structure and properties of crystals. A crystals structure is defined by the particular repeating arrangement of atoms throughout the crystal. The external appearance of the crystals is often related to its internal arrangement of atoms. There are six basic crystal systems.

isometric, tetragonal, hexagonal, ortorhombic, monoclinic and triclinic crystal systems
