The Electric Vehicle Challenge
The Electric Vehicle (EV) Challenge tasks teams of high school students with designing and building all-electric vehicles that are tested in an annual endurance competition. Teams participate in heat and feature races, plus engineering design and fabrication award competitions.
The EV Challenge was first held at the University of Waterloo in June 2012. In 2015, the first Fall Kickoff Race took place. The goal of the Fall Kickoff is to show off the EV Challenge program to new students and ignite their build season.
The EV Challenge is run by the Sedra Student Design Centre and is supported by sponsors TMMC, Multimatic and Interstate Batteries.
