Understanding Allyship, Solidarity and Advocacy

brand new 201 level workshop that aims to equip staff, faculty, and graduate students with knowledge and tools to become intentional allies, community members standing in solidarity, and empathetic advocates for change.

Non-binary employees and jobseekers are often left out of narratives of gender inclusion in the workplace. This member workshop will address the unique experiences of non-binary employees and jobseekers and what needs to change for their full participation. Utilizing case studies, this practical workshop will provide solutions for cultivating belonging for your non-binary employees and non-binary jobseekers. We will also showcase data from our Transitioning Employers: A survey of policies and practices for trans inclusive workplaces regarding the solutions that employers could pursue to make a fully gender inclusive workplace.
