Do you ever wonder where your campus meals really come from? At Food Services, we’re proud to support local farmers and producers across Ontario. Behind every meal served on campus is a commitment to sustainable sourcing that uplifts regional economies and strengthens our Farm-to-Campus Fresh values of supporting local, Canadian food systems.
As part of our ongoing sustainability efforts and in response to the growing importance of local food security, we are increasing transparency around where our ingredients come from. Like our strawberries picked at Hoffman’s in Waterloo to mushrooms harvested at Brantford Mushroom Farm, our menus feature a variety of ingredients grown or raised right here in Ontario! The onions in your typical Onion Bhaji served in residence may have been delivered through EPAC from a farm in Heidelberg, or the chicken in your Chicken Parmesan might trace back to a Norfolk County supplier.
We source from a wide network of local partners, including over 60 farms across Waterloo Region, Elgin, Norfolk, Oxford, and beyond! A full list of our partner farms and vendors is available below.
