On June 23, GoHelP Lab member Alexa Bennett attended Scholar to Scholar: Advancing Knowledge, Impact and Community in Ottawa, hosted by Universities Canada. The event brought together scholarship recipients, alumni, university leaders, and partners to celebrate the impact of scholarship programs while fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Alexa, a PhD candidate in the Department of Geography and Environmental Management at the University of Waterloo, delivered the keynote address as a recipient of the Flight 302 Legacy Award and instructor for the Queen Elizabeth Scholars (QES) program. Drawing on her experiences as a health geographer, she spoke about the power of international scholarship programs to advance research, build global partnerships, and create meaningful opportunities for learning and community impact.
