GoHeLP member Tara Chen has been awarded a prestigious 2026 CIHR Health System Impact Fellowship in partnership with the International Federation on Ageing (IFA). Her fellowship will explore the intersection of healthy longevity, climate change, and planetary health, focusing on how environmental determinants of health are shaping ageing populations and policy systems globally.
As part of the fellowship, Tara will conduct an environmental scan and strategic analysis of global policies, initiatives, and stakeholder networks related to climate change, healthy ageing, and planetary health. This work will support the IFA in advancing cross-sector collaboration and policy development within the emerging climate–longevity nexus.
The fellowship aligns closely with GoHeLP’s focus on health promotion, environmental determinants of health, community wellbeing, and systems-level approaches to healthy ageing. It also builds on Tara’s ongoing research interests in nature-based social prescribing and preventative approaches to health and wellbeing.
Congratulations to Tara on this exciting achievement!
