The Waterloo team will join four other Canadian communities heading to Copenhagen to learn about progressive active transportation policies and infrastructure. The planning grant on Implementing Healthy Urban Policy Planning is part of CIHR’s Healthy Cities Research Initiative and aims to mobilize knowledge between researchers and decision-makers for healthier local communities. Jennifer and team will participate in a 5 day workshop in April, share those findings with the municipalities and townships in spring-summer 2020, and design a new active transportation intervention for future evaluation.
