Emily Shantz

Emily is a Knowledge Synthesis Specialist at Simon Fraser University, working within the Office of the Vice-President, Research and Innovation, where she supports research, collaboration, and knowledge mobilization across disciplines. She was previously a PhD candidate in the Department of Geography and Environmental Management at the University of Waterloo and a Research Assistant in the GoHelP Lab. Emily holds a Master of Science in Microbiology & Immunology from Dalhousie University, as well as a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Molecular Biology & Genetics from the University of Guelph. Her research interests include infectious and immune-mediated diseases, knowledge translation, science and health policy, and science communication.
