Lindsey is a recent MA graduate from the School of Planning at the University of Waterloo, under the supervision of Professor Leia Minaker. Her master’s research evaluated the impacts of a restrictive food planning policy around secondary schools in the Region of Waterloo, with a focus on health equity and equity-deserving youth. She completed her BAH in Geography and BEd in the Intermediate/Senior levels for Geography and Biology with a specialization in Environmental Education from Queen’s University.
During her time at the School of Planning, Lindsey worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Human Environments Analysis Laboratory at the University of Western Ontario on FRESHER, a province-wide study of the impacts of COVID-19 on the food retail industry. She was also the recipient of several scholarships including the Emily Ruston Mann Graduate Memorial Scholarship (UW), the Gerald Carrothers Graduate Scholarship (OPPI) and the David Palubski Bursary (CIP). Lindsey now works as a Land Development Coordinator for the GTA Urban Team at Mattamy Homes.
