Vanessa completed a Master of Environmental Studies in the School of Planning at the University of Waterloo, under the supervision of Dr. Leia Minaker. Vanessa also competed an honours Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Global Development Studies from Queen's University, where she conducted research on improving the state of sustainable governance within the Frontenac Arch Biosphere.
