Council

The GSA-UW Council is the body responsible for determining the official positions of the GSA as they relate to academic and political representation of University of Waterloo Graduate Students. Council's operations are regulated by GSA By-Law 7.

All Councillors are University of Waterloo graduate students who serve as representatives for their respective department or unit. The membership of Council is as follows:

• Chair of Council, appointed by Council
• one representative from each department and unit program
• non-voting At-large councillors appointed by Council
• the GSA Officers
• the GSA Directors

Council Meetings & Minutes

The following Council meeting schedule was approved at the May 2018 meeting. The agenda package will be published prior to the meeting scheduled and minutes will be approved by Council at the following meeting time. All meetings take place from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. For the location of an upcoming meeting, please contact the GSA Office.

If Council members are unable to attend a Council Meeting in person, they may send a proxy in their place by submitting the Council Proxy form.
