There are a couple of volunteer opportunities this winter term that we would like to announce:
- Student Technology Advisory Committee (STAC): STAC is a university committee in place to hear and discuss issues pertaining to technology and how it affects students on campus. Recent discussions have included addressing wireless and cellular coverage issues on campus, and the creation of a student services portal. This committee meets approximately once per month, and it is seeking a higher grad student attendance. Food is usually provided. This is an excellent opportunity to voice your opinion to university administrators about any technological issues and student needs which are not being met. - GSA Activities Committee: The GSA is looking for new members for the Activities Committee. The Activities Committee is responsible for the planning and execution of all GSA-organized or GSA-run social events available to all graduate students. This committee generally meets once a month. If you have some great ideas and want to contribute please email Malwina at gsa-vpce@uwaterloo.ca with "Activities Committee" in the subject line.
