Recent Passing of Graduate Student Neelanjana Pal

Monday, October 19, 2015
The Graduate Student Association is saddened by the passing of Neelanjana Pal, a graduate student in the Faculty of Engineering. Our thoughts go out to her friends and family during this difficult time. Neelanjana was involved in the graduate student community on campus and volunteered her time with the GSA to help facilitate Graduate Orientation and Free Food Thursdays at the Graduate House. In honour of her dedication to the UW graduate student community, the GSA has created an award in her memory, the Neelanjana Pal Award for Volunteering Excellence, to recognize a graduate student every year in April who has displayed passion for volunteering in the graduate student community.
