Conservation of Heritage Masonry in Canada: A Current Perspective

The article discusses Canada\’s heritage structures and the challenges of conservation, along with recommendation as to what can be done to ensure a growth in such practices. In order to provide a clear detailed analysis, seven factors were discussed: durability, growing public awareness, capacity for the work, current status of education, inconsistency in determination of heritage status and implementation of conservation. For the purpose of preparing an informative review of the article, the key points found in each section/factor will be outlined.
