The Hopkins group is awarded the cover article for the Journal of Physical Chemistry A. Congratulations to Mike Lecours for his first authorship!
The Hopkins, Fillion, and McMahon groups collaborate on a study published in the Journal of Physical Chemistry A. Congratulations to Moaraj Hasan on his first publication!
The Hopkins group will be travelling to France in summer 2014 to conduct research at the Centre Laser Infrarouge d'Orsay (CLIO) free electron laser facility.
The University of Waterloo undergraduate chemistry society has awarded Dr. Hopkins and Dr. Murphy their Periodic Table teaching award.
The Hopkins and McMahon groups collaborate on a new publication in the Journal of Physical Chemistry A.
In collaboration with the McMahon group at the University of Waterloo, the Hopkins group has been awarded beamtime at the Centre Laser Infrarouge d'Orsay (CLIO) free electron laser facility. Hopkins group members will visit the international science facility in Paris, France during July 2013.
Dr. Hopkins recently visited the AB Sciex R&D site at Concord, Ontario for a facility tour and to give an invited lecture. AB Sciex is doing very interesting work in a number of mass spectrometry areas and the staff are all very knowledgeable and insightful.
An invited article titled "Dissociation dynamics of the low-lying Rydberg states of Xe2: a velocity map imaging study" by Hopkins and Mackenzie has just been published in the journal Molecular Physics.
The Hopkins group currently has two positions available for graduate students. Interested parties are directed to The Guelph-Waterloo Centre for Graduate Work in Chemistry and Biochemistry, (GWC)2. (GWC)2 is one of Canada’s largest and most successful chemistry graduate schools, and you may apply for admission through either the University of Waterloo or the University of Guelph. Your choice of university will not impact your final decision regarding supervisor or campus.
