Marzieh Riahinezhad (PhD, Chemical Engineering, September 2015) received the international and extremely prestigious “Best Dissertation of the Year ADIPEC Award” in excellence in energy (November 2015). Marzieh’s PhD thesis was selected by an international scientific panel of 26 judges in the oil and gas industry as one of the top three best dissertations of 2015 in energy, worldwide.

Professor Alex Penlidis and Hadi Izadi's research on effective dry adhesive is featured in the latest edition of eWEAL.
Kate Stewart is currently doing her PhD with Professor Penlidis. She received two awards for her research work at two different conferences. One was for the best poster (one of three out of over 65 posters) at the prestigious Polymer Reaction Engineering Conference IX in Cancun, Mexico (May 10-15, 2015). The other was 2nd place overall (out of 60+ posters) in the poster competition at the Annual AU

Professor Costas Tzoganakis is the recipient of the 2015 Heinz List Award for “Significant Achievements in Polymer Devolatilization and Reactive Processing.” His research on numerous reactive systems using screw extruders was recognized with this award from the Extrusion Division of the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) during the 2015 Annual Technical Conference (ANTEC) in Orlando, Florida.
