Join returned exchange students, Subhan, Katelyn, Dorothy and Connor, to find out what it's really like to live and learn in Europe, Asia and Australia. They’ll answer your questions, tell you what it’s like to live and learn in another culture (and maybe language!) and share the challenges and benefits of pursuing an exchange.

Whether you're a new postdoc or a continuing postdoc at the University of Waterloo, be sure to attend the Postdoc Services Fair! A successful international work experience requires careful planning for it to be a satisfying and fulfilling experience for you. In an average year, Co-operative Education facilitates ~1000 international co-op work term across 55+ countries. Based on our experience in supporting students with their international aspirations, we have developed some best practices and resources that we would like to share to help you plan your dreams systematically. Experts from the Office of Research will also share their tips on pursuing research experiences abroad.

Want to add an international twist to your usual dinnertime routine? Learn how to cook an international dish from the comfort of your own home with Renison’s Chef, Tim Farley, who will be teaching you how to make a Thai green mango and papaya salad with spicy somtom dressing.

Calling all alumni and current students to compete in the first AMAZING SCIENCE RACE! Register to join us for a race around the world of science including special guest video appearances from faculty, alumni and MORE! Each mission will be assigned a unique number of points based on the difficulty of the question or challenge. All missions can be completed virtually from around the world! The Race will begin at 9AM on Friday September 25th and run until Sunday, September 27th to allow for alumni and students across the globe to compete!

Mass transit, the concentration of people and capital, and planned density all aid in the spread of the virus. In a rush to interpret an uncertain future, some theorists have suggested 70-years of rapid global urbanization might be over. But has the death of cities been greatly exaggerated?

What are the contributions that international development can make in addressing COVID-19? What does the future hold for international development? Please join us for a conversation between international development practitioners and policy makers on the implications the global community faces in the COVID-19 era, the security challenges, and the future of international development projects during a global pandemic.
