The Library celebrates University of Waterloo’s 60th
In 1957 University of Waterloo was known as Waterloo College and Associate Faculties, and the Library was one room with four staff in a building called Willison Hall. The Library is now a diverse system of three branches, two resource centres, three affiliated libraries, and over 100 dedicated staff with a breadth of skills and abilities that would have been unimaginable back then.
Throughout the University's history, the Library has provided resources, knowledge, support and vision to the students, faculty and staff that will take us beyond innovation and into the future.
Join us in looking forward, and remembering our history, as we celebrate the Library's integral role over the last 60 years in making University of Waterloo Canada's most innovative university.
