By Fram Dinshaw Office of AdvancementTo celebrate Giving Tuesday, 1,690 University of Waterloo supporters — including alumni, faculty, staff, retirees and friends — donated a whopping $705,621 this year! This is an amazing achievement that is only possible because of you.
Thank you for empowering UWaterloo students and faculty to innovate, discover, explore and become the leaders who will help us seek the answers to the most pressing challenges we face today.
In total, 24 of our challenges were completed, unlocking $146,525 from our Challenge Champions.
The Waterloo Eye Institute Fund won both the Most Dollars and Most Donors challenges, raising $129,113 from 274 donors!

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg, and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
