Students from across Canada will meet for the three-day conference to engage in discussion on reforming the international finance architecture, global demographic change and the impact of corruption in economic growth, trade, and development.

The meeting will be held to reflect an authentic UN and G20 experience for delegates and will feature a video address by the Turkish Ambassador to Canada. Turkey hosted the recent G20 meeting of world leaders.

Location: Balsillie School of International Affairs

The debates will be held at the Balsillie School of International Affairs (BSIA) and the opening ceremonies will be at the Centre for International Governance and Innovation (CIGI). Speakers at the opening ceremony include:

  • Sandra Banks, Vice President, University Relations, University of Waterloo
  • Ana Krstanovic, Secretary General for the model G20
  • Leonard Edwards, CIGI Distinguished Fellow and former G8/G20 sherpa
  • Selcuk Unal, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Canada
