The Kickstarter campaign for the Pebble Time went live on February 24 and hit its $500,000 funding goal in 33 minutes. It surpassed $1 million in 49 minutes - making it the fastest project ever to hit that milestone. The campaign will wrap up on Friday, March 27.

Migicovsky, a grad of Waterloo’s systems design engineering program, is the founder and CEO of Pebble Technology. While studying engineering at the University of Waterloo, Migicovsky began building smartwatches alongside a group of friends and created the first model, InPulse. In April 2012, Migicovsky and his team launched the second generation, Pebble, on the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform, where it became the most successful crowdfunded project in Kickstarter’s history at the time - raising $10.3 million.

An engineer and entrepreneur, Migicovsky is passionate about developing well-designed, creative products that integrate smoothly into daily life.
