It is with great sadness that the University shares the news of the passing of Mana Mao. Mana passed away due to a medical issue on Monday, December 9.

Mana was a dedicated kinesiology student in her fourth year of study here at Waterloo. She was also very active in university sports, serving as a student trainer for the Women’s Volleyball team.

Mana’s life was honoured on December 10 in Guelph as her family, friends and community came together for the Janazah Prayer. Mana will be missed by everyone who knew her.

If you need help during this difficult time, please reach out to your community on campus and know that you have access to supports should you need them.
