Research Assistant
Herry Chen, currently pursuing a Master's degree in Applied Science within the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department. Graduating from the inaugural Architectural Engineering undergraduate program at the University of Waterloo, Herry is dedicated to advancing wood's role in sustainable construction, particularly through utilizing mass timber in building and infrastructure projects. In addition to his academic pursuits, Herry has led winning teams in two structural design competitions aimed at fostering a new wave of environmentally conscious design.
