Are first year students required to be on campus if all classes are online?
Are there fewer incoming first-year students as a result of COVID-19, or was recruitment and acceptance pretty much done?
For courses held in person, do students have the option to participate online?
For programs that rely on labs for learning, such as some engineering programs, will labs be in person in the fall term?
For the fall term, will we be receiving numerical grades? Will CR/NCR grades be used as an option for the spring and/or fall terms?
Has Waterloo done a survey of incoming students and if so, what are the results re:their plans for coming to campus vs. staying home, and wrt deferring to either Winter or Fall?
How are students being consulted in planning for the fall term? How involved are WUSA/GSA in discussions and making decisions?
How will labs and other interactive coursework be completed? Will an orientation week still be planned if schooling is online in September?
How would an online fall term provide upcoming students with a University of Waterloo first year experience and connections?
How would the clubs be operated?
I am teaching a large class this fall. I would like to have an assigned class time, so that I can teach online in real-time. Will I be given an assigned time in Fall 2020 (unlike the spring term)?
If a lecture or lab required for my specialization is only offered in the Fall and it does not run in-person this Fall, how can I expect to graduate "on time" by April 2021?
If fall term classes will be held online, what support can students expect to help them connect with each other and experience the unique UWaterloo campus community?
If majority of the classes are online, except for in person labs. Would I be penalized for chooses to stay at home in the West Coast?
If we need to attend on-campus classes, can we attend them at other universities?

Waterloo acceptance rate, especially for engineering is about 15%. Why do we expect a drop in enrolment? Can’t we adjust the offers sent accordingly?

Will all instructors be encouraged to build their material as if classes were to be delivered online?
Will course load be reduced (not by a big amount but by a slight amount) in order to accommodate the stressful times worldwide right now?
Will Fall 2020 classes be offered completely online or will Waterloo be opening it’s campus for students?
Will instructional practices be adjusted to accommodate incoming first year students in maths and sciences who may have missed out on some specific curriculum expectations from Grade 12 calculus, sciences etc.?
Will professors be holding office hours after lectures?
Will students be able to have a reduced course load if they feel overwhelmed by doing 5 courses entirely online?
Will there be a schedule of classes with set times this fall?
Will there be in person lab courses in the Fall 2020 and Winter 2021?
Will there be Orientation activities for first-year students?
