Last August, President Hamdullahpur made a number of commitments to address racism on campus, all of which have been embedded into the work of PART.
The work of anti-racism on campus involves everyone, and we remain proud of the work many staff, faculty and students have already done to create tangible change. Among many other actions, work has begun related to the hiring of Black and Indigenous faculty, set in motion a plan for race-based data collection, hired a full-time counsellor dedicated to the needs of BIPOC students, begun work towards a Black Studies Program and developed a proposal for Indigenous spaces. See more about our action on anti-racism here.
