At Renison University College, we strive to have a dynamic student experience where everyone belongs.
Our Renison community includes degree students studying in our Social Development Studies program, School of Social Work, Culture and Language Studies courses, as well as our credit-free courses and English Language Institute. We are also proud to have our own Renison Residence, which is centrally located on the University of Waterloo campus and is home each term to more than residents from all six of Waterloo's faculties.
Renison's residence has become known for its small, intimate, and family-like community of residents making it an ideal place for incoming students adjusting to university life. Come and be a part of the family!

If you lived at Renison, you would be home by now. Our Renison Residence is home to 214 students at any given time, with wrap-around support to help you adjust to your new surroundings.

Residence End-of-year Survey Feedback & Prize Winners!
In late March and early April, your Student Experience and Housing team held an end-of-year feedback survey to all Renison residents to understand your experience residing in our residence community this past year. Thank you to the 98 students who completed the survey, reflecting a 53% response rate from residents who lived in Renison for the Winter term.

On March 20, the ELI Student Leadership Team hosted Renison's first-ever World Happiness Day event! The team developed fun programming to spread happiness and kindness to the Renison community.

Renison is a big place with lots of great hiding spots! But who will be the ultimate hide n’ seek player?
What can you expect?
- You hide, the dons seek! (or vice versa!)
- Find the best place to hide around Renison, but don’t give yourself away!
- Take time to be a kid again during this power hour! It’s okay to relax a little when you’re studying!

Power Hour: Debate Night
Everyone has something silly that they love to argue about. What’s yours? Bring your favourite topics to this sure-to-be interesting instalment of power hour!
What can you expect?
- Go against another resident in a pointless debate
- Really, none of it means anything, but this is a GREAT way to relieve some frustration
- Have fun with this event. Remember it is 23-hours of silence outside this power hour!
