"If opportunity doesn't knock, build a door" -Milton Berle

Hello there! My name is Azeem and I am a graduate research student in Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Waterloo. My MASc. is supervised by Dr. Behrad Khamesee (PEng.), director of Maglev Microrobotics Laboratory.

I completed my undergraduate degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering ('17) while implementing engineering fundamentals during internships at the Indian Air Force. I am very fortunate to have 2 years of professional experience in Aircraft Performance and Navigation and currently I am the Professional Relations Chair of the ASME Waterloo Chapter for the academic year 2020 to 2021.

MY TOP 5 AREAS OF EXPERTISE:
Rapid Prototyping (generate mechanical models and drawings, assemblies, bills of material, verification and perform hands-on assembly and testing of prototypes). Familiar with product life cycle and New Product Development (NPD) processes.
Design and testing of mechanical and electromechanical systems. Hands-on experience with analog and digital motor drives, closed-loop control systems based on analog and digital feedback. Knowledge of, but not exclusive to, thermal management, fluid mechanics, mechatronic parts, force and stress analysis, refrigeration, machining, sheet metal and moulding techniques.
Efficacy in mechanical and mechatronics simulation packages (FEA, CFD, MATLAB, Simulink, SolidWorks, CATIA.
Design for Manufacturability and Design for Cost.
Deliver technical information into concise ideas that can be communicated to multiple levels effectively and promptly.
