AI-based Precision Components (push rods) Inspection System:

  1. Project Overview:
    This project is centered on the advancement of AI-assisted robotic systems designed to augment productivity within industrial manufacturing settings. Among various manufacturing companies, one company was chosen with the objective of refining efficiency in the inspection procedures of pushrods. These pushrods serve as integral components within the hydraulic joysticks of construction vehicles. Ensuring the side walls of the pushrods are devoid of significant scratches is crucial in preventing oil leakage from the joystick. Currently, surface inspection relies on manual scrutiny using magnifying glasses, leading to eye strain and impeding continuous inspection for prolonged durations. To address this issue, the proposal involves implementing an AI-assisted automated vision inspection system.
  2.  Contributions:
    1. Development of a specialized AI algorithm tailored for detecting surface imperfections on pushrods.
    2. Project management responsibilities encompassing three additional companies with distinct targeted objectives.
