Living Architecture Systems Group (LASG) attempts to integrate the disciplines of Design, Electronics and Psychology to create living and adaptive architecture. Audio systems play a vital role in the systems developed here.
Audio signals, however, are very vulnerable and susceptible to interference from a variety of sources. Thus, study and removal of this noise plays a key role in the successful implementation of the sculpture.
Through significant debugging activities and development of several iterations of the audio controller prototype, it was determined that the combination of component placement and proximity (microphone and speaker amplifier), a regulated 12V to 5 V input to the microphone and testing of the updated prototype in an overloaded circuit resulted in the production of minimal noise.
