Mohan Du received his bachelor's degree in the School of Electric Power Engineering from South China University of Technology, Guangzhou, China, in 2015. Currently, he is pursuing a MASc degree in power and energy systems at the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Canada.

His current research interests include fault-detection and restoration of high voltage direct current (HVDC) grids.
