Munif is currently pursuing a Master of Applied Science degree in electrical and computer engineering at the University of Waterloo. His research interests are on the design and control of modular multilevel converters with DC fault blocking capability for the protection of HVDC transmission networks. He received a bachelor's degree in electrical and electronic engineering from the Islamic University of Technology, Bangladesh and a master of engineering degree from the University of Calgary, Canada with a focus on power and energy systems.
