Yara Hassan Moustafa was born in Alexandria, Egypt. She received a B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Electrical Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University, in 2016 with excellence and honours, and then a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University, in 2020. She worked as a teaching assistant for four years in the same department and faculty from 2016 to 2020. She is currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Canada.
