I am always looking for motivated students with a strong background in power systems and control systems. Candidates should have the following qualifications:
- Background in LCC- or VSC-based HVDC systems
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink environment
- Strong foundation in control systems and power systems
- Experience with PSCAD/EMTDC
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

Funding and application process
Qualified students will receive financial support through a combination of research and teaching assistantships. You may list my name as your requested supervisor in your application.
Due to the high volume of emails I receive, I may not be able to respond to all inquiries. Only applicants who meet the required qualifications and have submitted a formal application through the University of Waterloo's online system will be considered for an interview.
