Philosophy Gender War Sparked by Call for Larger Role for Women

Ms. Carla Fehr, who has published on feminist perspectives in philosophy and is an expert on employment equity, will speak at the special session. Aside from her own research, her activism makes her a natural fit: Ms. Fehr is contributes to the Gendered Conference Campaign mounted by the Feminist Philosophers blog, which years ago started publicly naming conferences with all-male programs.
