Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences

Carla Fehr (Wolfe Chair in Scientific and Technological Literacy) and Jackie Feke (Assistant Professor, Philosophy) attended Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences 2016 at the University of Calgary. Carla and Jackie both presented at the annual meeting of the Canadian Society for the History and Philosophy of Science.

René Descartes Lectures

Heather Douglas (Waterloo Chair in Science and Society) has been named this year's Rene Descartes Lecturer. She will give three lectures at Tilburg University and the Tilburg Center for Logic, Ethics and Philosophy of Science in the Netherlands this coming September 2016.

Heather Douglas (Waterloo Chair in Science and Society) gave a talk on "The Challenge of Accountability in Expert Advice" at the Balsillie School of International Affairs (BSIA) Challenges and Opportunities for Governance of Socio-Ecological Systems in Comparative Perspective workshop that was held April 21-22, 2016.
