Science, Technology, and Gender: Challenges and Opportunities

Carla Fehr, Wolfe Chair in Scientific and Technological Literacy, is hosting the Science, Technology, and Gender: Challenges and Opportunities conference at the University of Waterloo. The conference is held with the Association for Feminist Epistemologies, Methodologies, Metaphysics, and Science Studies (FEMMSS) and the Canadian Society for Women in Philosophy (CSWIP) on August 10 to 13, 2014. 

The conference will feature many local participants giving papers, including Philosophy PhD grad students Janet Michaud, Jamie Sewell, Teresa Branch-Smith, Sandra DeVries, and Sara Weaver. Also, Katie Plaisance (Knowledge Integration professor and Philosophy department adjunct member) and Philosophy professor Patricia Marino will present papers.
