Note: Must complete a total of 1.25 units of year one science in CHEM, EARTH or BIOL (BIOL 225 and BIOL 280 can not be used as BIOL options). The associated lab can be linked to either the fall or winter course, where possible.

- **Any four of the six listed 300-level options can be completed; students can shift around upper year electives to accommodate heavier fall or heavier winter offered selections.
- PHYS 434, PHYS 437A, and PHYS 442 are recommended electives for students wishing to pursue graduate studies.
- Of the 3.5 total electives, a max of 1.5 lab units are permitted.
