Virtual Writing Café Presented by SWIGS and the Writing Center

Are you struggling with writing from home? Would you like to join a group of like-minded graduate students who have similar writing goals?  SWIGS is excited to partner with the UW Writing and Communication Center to host a weekly virtual writing cafe on Thursdays 3:00 – 5:00pm EST.

Become familiar with the tools and terminology of GIS! Our introduction to GIS workshop will cover basic and intermediate level map making skills using ArcGIS and QGIS software.

SWIGS + GWF: Intro to R Workshop

The R Basics workshop will be a guided introduction to coding using R, which has many applications for water researchers in science and math. Join us for a morning introductory session covering R basics, followed by some intermediate level problem solving in the afternoon. Please bring your own laptop for this workshop.
