Become familiar with the tools and terminology of GIS! Our introduction to GIS workshop will cover basic and intermediate level map making skills using ArcGIS and QGIS software.

The R Basics workshop will be a guided introduction to coding using R, which has many applications for water researchers in science and math. Join us for a morning introductory session covering R basics, followed by some intermediate level problem solving in the afternoon. Please bring your own laptop for this workshop. 

What is one challenge water researchers all have in common...data management! This workshop will cover various techniques that can be used to keep your data consistent and organized. Please bring your own laptop for this workshop. 

This will take place in PHY 145 from 10:00am-3:00pm. Coffee, snacks and lunch will be provided. Please bring your own mug.
