Award description: 

An award is presented annually to the student graduating with the most outstanding performance in the Co-operative education aspects of the undergraduate Engineering program. The award was established in recognition of the contribution made to the University of Waterloo by Dr. A.S. Barber, the University's first Director of the Department of Co-ordination and Placement, now the Department of Co-operative Education and Career Action.
