Three scholarships, valued at $10,000 each, will be awarded annually to domestic full-time undergraduate students enrolled in Year Two, Three, Four, or Five of a co-op program in the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science, including Software Engineering. Selection is based on academic excellence (minimum 80% cumulative average) combined with demonstrated leadership abilities in extracurricular activities, volunteer activities, mentorship, athletics, and/or public service. Strong preference given to students whose highlighted accomplishments have occurred in the last 12-18 months. Experiences pertaining to co-op or paid experiences (i.e., Part-time work, teaching assistant roles, etc.) are not considered for this scholarship. Applicants will also be asked to answer a creative writing question to demonstrate their communication skills. Candidates receiving other major scholarship support are excluded from consideration. Interested students should submit an application by November 1. This fund is made possible by a donation by The Carson Family Charitable Foundation.
